Heartbeats

Bump whoosh.... bump whoosh... bump whoosh...

So goes the sound of Andrew's heart.

I brought home a stethoscope recently and wanted to take a listen. I thought the sound of the valve leak would be a little less obvious. You know, something only the trained ear could hear. But there it was... bump whoosh... bump whoosh... bump whoosh...

It was kind of sad to hear. But still amazing.

I know a guy, Nick, who has gone through and is still going through a lot. More than we have for sure. He reminded me that even while this is going on, there are so many amazing things going on. How awesome is it that even with this leaky heart, Andrew's body continues to move on. He eats, grows, talks, moves, just carries on. We truly are fearfully and wonderfully made.
