I wanted to take a moment to update you with what is happening in our family, but I could not think of a more important thing to say than this:

JESUS IS RISEN!

Don't just gloss over that statement.

Dwell on it for a moment.

Jesus - A historical figure documented as well as Tiberius Caesar. He did exist. He was loved by those who knew him - they gave up everything including their lives to follow him; He was respected - but misunderstood - by those who knew of him but did not personally know him; and He was hated by those who felt threatened by what he represented. These same groups of people still exist today.

Is - Again, a documented part of history. There are those who debate it's accuracy. But if it is not true, who convinced the Roman soldiers to look the other way when the soldiers faced death as a penalty for failing in their jobs? Who moved the massive stone away from the tomb? How could his disciples - those who knew him the best - be tortured and die terrible deaths if they knew it did not happen? Is also means it is not just a part of the past, it is now. Jesus IS

Risen - He is alive. Hundreds of people saw him, spoke to him, ate with him after he rose. He was dead, but is no longer. If death has no power over him, then that must mean...

Think about the sentence. It's just three words. Mull them over. Don't be casual about it. Take some time as you go through your day.

Jesus is risen.

Jesus is risen.

Jesus is risen.

If they are true, then you have to do something about them.

Love him and give everything up for him.

Respect him and move on with your life thinking he was a good teacher.

Hate him.

Indecision at the point of no return will mean you have made your decision. What is it?

Think about it today. Tomorrow, too, if you have to.

Everything else can wait.
